MEALS PROGRAM:

HOURS:
Lunch, Tuesday - Friday: 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Dinner, Monday: 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Brunch, Saturday: 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.

The Center provides the only HIV/AIDS-specific weekday congregate Meals Program in the Greater Boston area and is the only Greater Boston AIDS service organization to provide a weekend meal of any kind. Last year, the BLC served over 40,000 nutritious, culturally diverse meals, Monday through Saturday each week. In conjunction with the Meals Program, the Center also distributes protein and nutritional supplements. A registered dietician provides weekly nutritional consultations at the Center as well.

Dinner, Lunch, and Brunch

Meals always consist of a soup, fresh garden salad, meat entree, vegetarian entree, fresh breads, a wide selection of juices, protein drinks and other beverages, and are always topped off by a delicious dessert.

Nutrition Works: Food and Nutrition Center

Nutrition Works is a food program specifically designed for people living with HIV/AIDS with low incomes. Participants are able to take home bags of nutritional food including fresh vegetables and fruits. There are workshops on topics about nutrition and HIV. There are consultations with a registered dietician to discuss how to use food to maintain a healthful lifestyle and your particular needs. The program is a joint service with AIDS Action Committee (Boston) and the American Red Cross of Massachusetts Bay, as well as the Boston Living Center. If you want more information about the program or eligibility requirements, please contact the Meals Program Manager at the Center.
