JOB OPPORTUNITIES:

Corporations and Foundations Manager

The Boston Living Center, an innovative Boston non-profit organization serving the HIV/AIDS community, seeks a highly motivated, experienced Corporations and Foundations Manager. Crucial job responsibilities include identifying applicable funders and writing and submitting grant requests and reports. Will also be responsible for developing corporate sponsorship opportunities and relationships to support BLC events.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of three years experience as a grant writer, excellent communication skills, experience in corporate or non-profit sponsorships and the ability to work well as part of a team. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines a must. Knowledge of and sensitivity to HIV/AIDS preferred. This position is full-time with excellent benefits.

Grant Writing

  • Research and draft/edit proposals for selected priority areas, ensuring accuracy, clarity and accord with funding requirements
  • Assist Member Services Department in determining needs and with evaluating outcome data
  • Submit proposals in a timely manner to selected foundations, corporations, and government funding sources
  • Report to funders on an ongoing basis
  • Research prospective funders for new funding opportunities
  • Working with the Director of Development, cultivate relationships with contacts of new and existing corporate and foundation donors (initiate meetings and tours with donors)
  • Compose and continually update grants plan, review weekly in supervision
  • Develop foundation grants & reports calendar, review weekly in supervision

Corporate Sponsorships

  • Working with the Director of Development, develop and cultivate ongoing relationships with members of the corporate community, including pharmaceutical companies
  • Determine sponsorship packages for each BLC event and outreach to appropriate potential sponsors
  • Create and implement in-kind giving plan for programs and events (member incentives, auction items, etc)
  • Develop and promote matching gifts program
